Why is it necessary to create/update my profile?

There are several important reasons to keep your profile updated in Researchweb:

  1. Reduces duplicate work - When applying for grants from different funders, you won't need to enter the same information multiple times. Researchweb automatically reuses the information in your profile for your applications.
  2. Provides better decision support - Reviewers get a more complete picture of your qualifications when assessing your applications. They can see your publications, education, previous grants, and other research merits in one place.
  3. Automatic import of publications - Researchweb can automatically import your publications from OpenAlex, Pubmed and SwePub, keeping your profile updated with minimal manual effort.
  4. Part of research accounting - Data from your profile is used to compile research activity at regional and national levels. This makes your research visible and helps demonstrate the scope of research.
  5. Increases visibility of your research - An updated profile makes your research easier to find for potential collaborators and other stakeholders through Researchweb's search functions.
  6. Facilitates handling of continuation applications - If you're applying for continued funding for a project, the process becomes much easier when your profile is already updated with previous results.

The system is designed to collect information once and reuse it in many contexts, saving time and improving the quality of your research documentation.
